We’ve made it to Trail Days in Damascus, VA. Well, technically we made it to Roan Mountain, TN and promptly caught a ride to this hiker-centric festival weekend, and then we’ll jump back on trail when we’ve had our fill. It’s a cool scene – there are vendors, contests, raffles, and events all weekend long to celebrate thru-hiking culture, community, and outdoor conservation. Churches set up free showers, meals, laundry services, and even haircuts for the thousands of hikers here. …
