Day 0
I woke up at 3:00 a.m. with a splitting headache, yet full of anticipation. A 7-hour drive was ahead of me, but on a very familiar road. My daughter was waiting for me in Kedgwick, New Brunswick, to drive me to the trailhead, another hour and a half away.
We made it to the US border near Perth-Andover by 3:00 p.m., just as the heavy rain finally stopped.
