Reverb and a Tribute

The climbs are tough. At three different locations, fire watch towers are still standing from the era when personnel were stationed at the tower to report possible forest fires. The towers are now popular hiking destinations that give hikers the ability to get above the tree canopy and look out over the majesty of the mountains. The John Byrne tower is a stone structure. It is currently only two stories as the third story lookout infrastructure where the ranger had lived had to be removed in the 1930s due to the ice and snow over the winter cracking and weakening the structure. …
