Farewell, Franklin:
Leaving Franklin was honestly a little heartbreaking. We kept it a short day due to some (possible) tendinitis in Jessie’s feet. 7 miles to Siler Bald was what we settled on.
In the section between Rock Gap and Winding Stair, the tendons in the upper part of Jessie’s feet really started acting up. It really started to put a damper on morale, but it was nothing a long soak in a cold stream and some painkillers couldn’t fix. …
