Halfway Reflections on the Arizona Trail

Out of the desert, amongst the pines. Pinus ponderosa, with their orange, vanilla-scented bark. Pinus edulis, known for their edible nuts. I stare at these as I sit in the aptly named town of Pine, Arizona, nestled at the based at the base of the Mogollon Rim.
