I was suddenly alone on the coast. The craggy coast. The cliff coast. The coast of high seas, crashing waves, crying gulls, secret coves, and long views of blue water melding into crystal clear skies somewhere beyond forever. Stone castles, ancient estates, ivy-covered walls, and green pastures were relegated to supporting roles. The coast was the star. It might have even been a one-man show. Every view was the best one yet and worth a stop to frame a potential screen-saver photo. This was the coast I came to see. Perfection.
