A mild and calm night gave way to a mid 40s morning. It was 54 in my tent, so a very comfortable night.
After a leisurely breakfast, we got going about 6:40. Continuous dowsing at the river crossings kept our feet cool. The air was cold enough that my fingertips were cold. The stillness was only interrupted by the occasional bird and the babble of to Gila River.
