After the tiring climbs yesterday I had some planning to do. My initial thought had been to walk the next 16 km of coast and meet my old friend J at the end. Her husband was going to drop her off at the end of their own trip, walking near Aberystwyth. Then the next day she would accompany me on the final stretch of my Wales walk to the port of Fishguard.
It gradually dawned on me that this was not going to be feasible. …
