I started today in the pretty town of Tregaron. It is named for St Caron and this is the church dedicated to him, sadly firmly locked. It sits in what seems like a small hill, but is actually a bronze age “mound” which is entirely man made. Such mounds are often associated with burial or other ritual use. When the Romans occupied this area the local people no longer used such sites.
