The First Few
To say this trail is humbling would be an understatement. From the start you are faced with challenge after challenge. Many of my own were brought on by over (or under) preparation. Approaching the famous arch with my sister, I came across a guy who had thru-hiker written all over him. He introduced himself as Jenga, his trail name. Without realizing he gave me my first glimpse of what it’s like to be a part of this community.
