We woke up at the end of our Airbnb crash in Tehachapi ready for another zero day. This second day was to be a day of lazing around. The only things on the agenda were checking into our hotel room and going back to Walmart to get Cactus’s phone screen fixed. He had shattered it during the first week of the hike, and we’d been waiting to come across a place that could fix it.
