Day 1 on the CDT
My journey on the Continental Divide Trail started April 28 with excitement and anxiety. This trail is 2700-3000 miles approximately depending on route from New Mexico/Mexico border to Montana/Canada border. This is considered the toughest of the three long trails in the USA. Hot, dry, boring desert, sharp cactus, long water carries, and rattlesnakes are a few things early in the journey giving me some anxiety. …
