After getting dropped off at Devil’s Garden Trailhead in Arches National Park, I can’t comprehend that I am actually taking the first steps of my 800 mile journey toward Zion National Park.
It’s not long before I pass several infamous arches and come to the “dark angel” – a towering rock formation correctly named for her feminine figure, proudly facing north. I wonder if she will offer a spell of protection for my path ahead.
