After our rest day in Arthur’s Pass, Animal Encounter and I had a few more days of wetting our feet in the Harper river before reaching the mighty Rākaia.
Though the river had fallen during our weather rest day in town, the rain hadn’t fully stopped and some spots were still quite gnarly.
