The Ascent of Blood Mountain
Today was wildly daunting. Waking up, me and Jessie had Blood Mountain, the tallest point on the Georgia Appalachian Trail, looming ahead of us.
We made sure to get an earlier start so we wouldn’t be passed by literally everyone again on the way to Neel Gap. We managed to be the fifth group of people to leave camp (but who’s counting?) and absolutely crushed the uphill to Jarrad Gap.
From there we ran into a nice older lady who seemed to be admiring Blood Mountain off in the distance. …
