Leaving Rockspring Hut I only had a little climb up Stony Man with multiple great views. Fortunately the rain came in later today and I was able to enjoy the views. After Stony Man the trail got harder,for Shenandoah. There were a lot of rocks and steep, if short, climbs.
Elkwallow was the smallest of the three Waysides. They did have milkshakes and the blackberry milkshake is still worth the money. I was able to sit and enjoy a respite from the rain while writing out postcards. …
