I anticipated it would be a cold day. I just didn’t realize how cold. Immediately, when I left the shelter before dawn to use the privy, I found out how cold it was. When I left for the day, I had on almost every piece of my clothing. It was windy, wet, and cold – and it stayed that way for the entire day.
