Three days after she hosts the 2026 Tony Awards, P!nk is set to receive the NMPA Songwriter Icon Award at the National Music Publishers’ Association annual meeting, which will take place at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York on June 10. The event will include industry analysis, announcements and performances.
P!nk has landed four No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and three No. 1 albums on the all-genre Billboard 200. She has won three Grammys, two BRIT Awards, a Daytime Emmy and seven MTV Video Music Awards.
Julian Bunetta will be honored with the NMPA Non-Performing Songwriter Icon Award for his success in multiple genres. He produced and co-wrote Sabrina Carpenter’s smash “Espresso” and co-produced and co-wrote Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” and One Direction’s “Night Changes.” Bunetta has received three Grammy nods for his work with Carpenter.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. will receive NMPA’s Industry Legacy Award to honor the work he has done to elevate songwriters while leading the Academy, including honoring them for album of the year and introducing the songwriter of the year, non-classical award.
Meta president and vice chairman Dina Powell McCormick will sit for a keynote conversation with NMPA president and CEO David Israelite. Her career has spanned government, finance and now one of the world’s leading tech companies.
“We are thrilled to honor P!nk whose catalog embodies authenticity and depth and whose songwriting has a singular style,” Israelite said in a statement. “Julian Bunetta has been writing everyone’s favorite songs for decades. We look forward to spotlighting his incredible talent that has elevated some of the world’s biggest stars. Meta president Dina Powell McCormick will share her influential perspective on today’s business landscape and Meta’s role in the rapidly changing technology space. Finally, Harvey Mason Jr. was an obvious choice for our Industry Legacy Award. Since leading the Recording Academy, he has championed songwriters in very real ways, which we will discuss in a special fireside chat.”
