Man, oh man, Mission Creek. That was some tough terrain. The first three miles of climbing were smooth sailing but the moment we reached the creek the tides shifted.
The trickiest part of this section was finding the trail. Large areas have been completely washed out leaving miles of walking on rocks and sand uphill. It felt like a big puzzle and I’m thankful I was with a good team to solve it.
There were times where we were scrambling up crumbling cliff sides and walking through the creek only to realize the trail was on the other side where we just were. …
