The Howard Johnson Motel
Sweet Stuff and I started at the Southern Terminus at 2pm. Late, I know. Everyone else had started hours earlier. That’s not how we roll though. Instead of camping at CLEEF, we stayed at the world-renowned 2.7 star Howard Johnson Motel on the outskirts of San Diego, which we walked to from the airport. God, getting out of that airport was a nightmare. We arrived in different terminals and finally found each other between rows R and S in the parking garage before finding a way out that didn’t involve crossing a major highway. …
