Flowers!
This week, the flowers have really come into there own along the trail in GA and NC.
First, the vibrant purple wild violets, out before most of the rest. Such a pretty color!
Trillium: at least 4-5 species are blooming, from the large white Trillium grandiflora to the “common” purple and yellow varieties, often 3 distinct species growing along side each other.
