Tramiles (trail /families) are an interesting phenomenon throughout the through hiking experience. In its most basic form, a “tramily” is made up of people that you meet and connect with on trail. Relationships are formed deeply quickly, and often become strong with sincere loyalty. Time marches to a different rhythm on trail and having the support is incredibly helpful and often felt essential to survival whether real or perceived.
