We weren’t in a rush to leave Te Anau. Animal Encounter video called her parents in Canada and had a tearful farewell with Bernie. Meanwhile, Team Chokolade were busy calling their families in Germany.
I took a shower, enjoyed some fresh fruit for breakfast, and did my Duolingo lessons while still in service.
At last, it was departure time. With heavy, food-filled backpacks, Animal Encounter and I left the holiday park just before Team Chokolade.
