April is the cruelest month? TS Eliot was wrong. I love April. Wildflowers. Green leaves. Long days. The Easter bunny. My daughter’s birthday. And damn near perfect hiking weather. It’s time to hit the trail tomorrow as I hop in my Jeep and drive eight hours south. Monday, I’ll meet up with a friend and we will ride the ferry to Cumberland Island, the largest barrier island in Georgia. Wild, quiet and beautifully untamed. …
