We had the chilliest night yet on the AT. A cold front moved in this week, and last night’s temperatures dropped to the 30’s. My sleep was bad, with me waking up every few hours from the cold. Tonight won’t be much better, so I have tightly attached my quilt to my sleeping pad, hoping less cool air will seep in.
Today was a low-mileage day. Some of the hikers I camped with last night chose to push 12 miles and stay at the Cheese Factory Site tonight. …
